There are several different fabrications of the "Cherrypeak" board design, from Fab A through F and there three different revisions of "Larrabee". There are however some more subtle alterations to either the board or shroud that didn't warrant a change to the revision detail. This page details each version and any other alterations if applicable. Note: The board fab should not be confused with the revision number.
Revision 1
The blue board is the first revision of Larrabee from 2009. The board is labelled Fab D2 and features, from the top, DisplayPort, DVI and HDMI video outputs.
The black PCB design is dated slightly later and is identical to the blue board design except for the colour.
This card is different in the fact that it is labelled revision 1 Fab E, however it is much more akin to revision 2. Whether this board was mistakenly labelled revision 1 when it should have been revision 2 is a mystery. Until there is proof that the card is in fact rev 2 it shall remain in this section.
Emerald Peak 2
This special version is labelled "Emerald Peak 2" and appears very close to what could be considered a production-grade Larrabee. Nothing else is known about this Larrabee and no information about Emerald Peak 2 is currently (20/01/23) present on the internet.
Revision 2
Revision 2 has the video outputs in a different order, and instead from the top has DVI, then DisplayPort and HDMI. The board is labelled Fab A and is also missing the POST buzzer and the circuit components related to it. The buzzer is absent from every board after Revision 1.Revision 3 is the final revision of Larrabee as a GPU. As of yet there are no photos of the front of the board, however the board is labelled Fab F so is presumably identical to the Knights Ferry cards but with video outputs.
Knights Ferry
Knights Ferry was the closing chapter of Larrabee, released to Intel partners in 2011 as a development product for the upcoming Knights Corner Xeon Phi. It features no display outputs, but is fundamentally the same as Larrabee at its core. One other difference from the cards before this is that it features a 4 pin header on the right hand lower side of the card. Judging by the PCB traces it appears to be an external fan header.
Shroud Designs
The standard Larrabee shroud design. This specific card is a revision 1 card and is the same as the designs for revisions 2 and 3.
